Ideation and Sketches
The opening credits of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective are a classic scene of Ace Ventura delivering a “package” to someone as the credits appear. I set out to make an animated, graphic based credit scene that could be shown at the beginning or end of the movie. I wanted to encapsulate classic scenes and references that are made throughout the movie in my sketches and eventually the final project. I made three storyboards for the different ideas I had.

Style Frames
When making my style frames, I ran into an issue that my typography wasn’t correlating well to the playful and comedic nature of the movie. I also found that my graphics were a bit too complex. I finally was able to break my bad habit and find a satisfactory typeface and graphic style with my final style frame.
